● Necessity and Expected Impact of the Saemangeum Triport Community Platform 

○ ​​Providing complex logistics services requires not only the development of triport infrastructure—integrating port, airport, and railway—but also efficient and synergistic coordination between these modes of transportation

○ ​This study aims to leverage Saemangeum’s robust triport infrastructure to facilitate regional development, positioning Jeonbuk State as a global logistics hub and high-tech industrial center. 

○ ​We prioritize optimizing logistics management and efficiency by reducing costs and transit times, attracting global investments, creating data-based industries, and building a globally standardized logistics platform. Additionally, stakeholder collaboration will improve transparency and public service quality. 

● Urgency of Launching the Platform 

○ ​With Saemangeum logistics infrastructure set to open progressively from 2026, now is the optimal time to develop complex logistics systems integrating digital transformation and stakeholder collaboration.

○ ​Establishing Saemangeum as a central West Sea gateway logistics hub will improve corporate competitiveness, strengthen national economic power, and position the region as a leader in global logistics standards and data-based industries. 

● Challenges and Strategies for Overcoming Them 

○ ​Potential challenges include differing interests among port, airport, and railway operators, as well as financial and policy constraints   

○ ​To address these, the project must create a cooperative governance structure, expand public-private cooperation, secure R&D funding, provide consistent policy support, and attract investment

● Roadmap for Implementation 

○ ​Key action plans include establishing an integrated governance structure, developing digital logistics platforms, and cultivating skilled professionals to lay the foundation for an efficient logistics system.

○ ​Designating the triport platform as a national strategic initiative will help secure sustainable support, facilitate performance evaluations, and drive continuous improvements.
